This is an introduction to Cowboy Dressage, Soft feel is the guiding principle of Cowboy Dressage. Cowboy Dressage emphasizes lightness, harmony, finesse and partnership with your horse.

  • Introduction to the Cowboy Dressage Court
  • Riding 10 & 20 meter circles
  • Understanding the court and calling the patterns
  • Understanding gaits of the patterns
  • 4-H Members ride & audit for free !!

Cowboy Dressage Word of Indiana

Morning session from 9 am until 12 pm

The morning session will be reserved for adults. Experienced and walk/trot riders are welcome. If you can steer your horse you can do this!! This is a great introduction to Cowboy Dressage. Learn more on Facebook at Indiana Cowboy Dressage.

Pitch-in Lunch from 12 pm until 1 pm 

Lunch will be prepared by the Morgan County 4H Horse & Pony Club. Bring your camp chair and feel free to join the pitch by bringing your favorite side or dessert.

Afternoon session from 1 pm until 4 pm

The afternoon session is reserved for 4H youth. It is NO COST for 4H youth. This session is for experienced riders and newbies. You will learn patterns, soft feel, control and balance. Cowboy Dressage will help you improve western riding skills.
